As long as your phone is inside network coverage, has an active cellular plan, and doesn't have any technical issues, it should receive all incoming calls. If you're missing phone calls, one or more of these may be broken. We'll demonstrate how to troubleshoot and repair them.

The most typical reason for your phone not receiving calls is a problem with the network signal. Other causes include a cellular plan that has expired, a blacklisted phone number, and others.

Restart Your Android Phone

Minor bugs in Android can cause your phone to stop receiving calls. Rebooting your phone is a simple solution to this problem. This turns off and reloads all of your phone's functions, giving technical issues a chance to resolve.

If you reset your phone without saving your unsaved work, you risk losing your data.

1. On your phone, press and hold the Power button.
2. In the menu, choose Restart.

Turn Off Airplane Mode on Your Android Phone

To receive calls on your Android phone, turn off Airplane mode. This is because Airplane mode disconnects your phone from the cellular network.

To solve your problem, turn off Airplane mode.

1. Pull down from the top of the screen of your phone.
2. If the option is available, select Airplane mode.

Check That You Are In The Network Coverage Area

To accept incoming calls and make outgoing calls, your phone must be in the coverage area of your carrier. You are not receiving calls if you are in an area where network signals are unavailable.

The only option to resolve this issue is to relocate to a location with a mobile network signal. You can test your signal by heading to your home's terrace or a high place. In this circumstance, the only thing you can do with your phone is go to a coverage-enabled region.

Turn Off Do Not Disturb Mode If Is On In Your Android Phone

Do Not Disturb on your Android phone disables all notifications, including call alerts. To receive incoming calls on your phone, you must have DND mode turned off.

Open the Settings app on your Android device.
In the Settings menu, go to Sounds & Vibration > Do Not Disturb.

Turn the Do Not Disturb switch off.

Check To See If Your Cellular Plan Is Still Active

In addition to repairing your phone, check to determine if your existing cellular calling package is still active. An expired or inactive plan prevents you from making or receiving phone calls.

One way to find out is to contact your carrier and have them look over your plan details. If your plan is up for renewal, you may want to do so in order to resume receiving incoming calls.

You can contact your carrier by visiting their website, emailing them on social media, or calling them from a different phone.

Re Insert The SIM Card In Your Android Phone

One of the reasons you aren't receiving phone calls is because your SIM card isn't correctly installed. If your SIM card is loose or improperly inserted, your phone will not recognize it.

You can resolve this issue by removing and reinserting the card into your phone.

1. Remove the SIM card tray from your phone.
2. Take the SIM card out of the tray.
3. Replace the SIM card in its rightful place on the tray.
4. Replace the tray in your phone.
5. Allow your phone to recognize the SIM card.

Reset Your Android Phone's Network Settings

Faulty or incorrectly configured network settings can prevent your phone from receiving calls. One simple cure is to reset your network settings, which erases all unique configurations and allows you to start over with your networks.

1. Open the Settings app on your Android device.
2. In Settings, go to System > Reset options.
3. Select Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile, and Bluetooth.
4. Choose Reset settings after selecting your SIM card from the drop-down option.
5. When you've finished resetting the settings, restart your phone.
